Photogrammetry Workshop: Capturing the Tangible. The art of capturing and preserving the built environment has long been a fundamental aspect of architecture and design. Photogrammetry — a technique that stitches together hundreds or even thousands of overlapping images — allows us to create digital models that record a building’s form, texture, spatial qualities, and its relationship with the surrounding environment.
Originating in the mid-19th century, photogrammetry has become an essential tool in fields such as archaeology, architecture, and topographical mapping. Today, with just a smartphone, anyone can access this powerful technology.
In this hands-on workshop, Mono Tung will lead participants on a walk through Chuen Lung, guiding them in capturing buildings along the way. He will introduce the core concepts of photogrammetry, demonstrate essential software, and share practical tips for creating accurate 3D models.
By the end of the session, you’ll be able to document your favorite streetscapes and architecture anytime, anywhere. Join us and start building your own digital archive!
